Dr. Aucoin in the media
Dr. Aucoin is President of Electrical Expert, Inc., an engineering and management consulting firm in College Station, Texas. He has been active in engineering management in his career in the fields of electric power engineering and energy management, as well as e-commerce and technology-based business ventures. He has received the R&D 100 Award from R&D Magazine, and the Outstanding Engineering Achievement Award from the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the Third Millennium Medal from the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. Dr. Aucoin was previously a researcher and instructor at Texas A&M University, and worked for several small and large commercial organizations. He authored the book, From Engineer To Manager: Mastering The Transition, published by Artech House in 2002.

Dr. Aucoin has over three years of experience in university teaching, including a course in Total Quality Management, and has consistently received excellent evaluations from students. He has also been a corporate trainer for IPS Associates of San Carlos, CA, and for ESI International of Arlington, VA.

Dr. Aucoin received a B.S. in Engineering Science from the University of New Orleans in 1976, a M. Engr. in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University in 1978, and a D. Engr. in Engineering Management from Texas A&M in 1982.

Dr. Aucoin was previously the Vice President of Education for the IEEE Engineering Management Society and a member of the Board of Governors of the Society. He is also a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas, and a certified Project Management Professional.
